I bought some jasmine flowers for tea but they don’t smell or taste like jasmine?

I enjoy mixing tea ingredients together so I thought I’d buy some green and white teas and some jasmine flowers… but the jasmine flowers do not taste or smell like the Jasmine Green Tea I also have. Is that normal?
